Four finalists which set up their businesses through the E=MC2 Programme in 2011 will battle it out to win:
‘E=MC2 Start Up Business of the Year 2011’
The finalists will have three minutes to pitch their businesses to a high profile panel of entrepreneur judges. The winning business will receive a £500 cash prize and two laptops, and a free place on the Cass Business School New Venture Creation Programme (worth £2,000!)

The Small Business Consultancy CIC was established in early 2009 by young social entrepreneur Amar Lodhia, it is supported by a board comprising of some very high profile and successful entrepreneurs, business and community leaders. Our social enterprise has been built with a vision to create a society where nothing holds people back from becoming successful and achieving something out of life.
We work with people from the hardest to reach backgrounds - such as substance misusers coming out of treatment for drug addiction, ex-offenders, pre-exclusion students in schools, young unemployed people- and through our unique, entrepreneurial and inspirational programmes, we aim to maximise employment and self employment opportunities for them and naturally through this we tackle many issues such deprivation, poverty and unemployment through equipping people with life, enterprise and business skills to be able to survive independently in a global economy.
